Counselor's Corner

Hello Parents and Visitors!

I’m Rebecca Garlington, the school counselor for Brownsboro Elementary.  This is my 18th year in education, and I absolutely love being part of the BES family!  This year we are really focusing on leadership skills with our students by teaching the “Seven Habits of Happy Kids”.  Throughout the school year, I will be visiting classes to teach guidance lessons about applying these habits to our daily routines.  My goal is for the students to fully understand how good habits make great leaders!

Along with guidance lessons, I am also available to help students with individual concerns.  Small group counseling will be held on specific topics related to school.  Students are usually referred by their teacher, but parents can also contact me about concerns they may have.

Often times, parents have questions about services provided at school.  I can help you with questions about Section 504, Dyslexia, Gifted & Talented, English as a Second Language, or any other concerns you may have about services here at BES.

Please do not hesitate to call, email, or come by to visit with me!

Thank you so much for all your support!
